Oppo has been teasing the launch of the Oppo R7 smartphone for a couple of months. The firm made it official that the smartphone will be announced on May 20. Now, it has been revealed by the vendor that the R7 will be accompanied by the R7 Plus smartphone.
Both the smartphones are featured in a couple of ads that are airing in China. Oppo is showing off its new devices rather than keeping them secretive till their announcement. The firm has also released a few press renders of the Oppo R7 and R7 Plus smartphones hinting at the presence of a fingerprint sensor at the back of the Plus version and on-screen keys.
The renders reveal that both the smartphones will feature a full metallic unibody design and feature 2.5D glass protection. The edge-to-edge display seems to be reserved for the larger version – R7 Plus.
Oppo has not revealed any word on the specifications of these smartphones, but a leaked benchmark listing shows that the R7 Plus might arrive with a 5.9 inch Full HD display and make use of a 1.9 GHz octa core MediaTek MT6795M SoC paired with 3 GB of RAM. The device is likely to use 32 GB of native storage space and dual 7 MP camera units combination. However, we can expect a 20.7 MP main snapper onboard.
We will get to know the complete details of these smartphones from the Chinese firm Oppo once the devices are announced on May 20.
