The prolific smartphone vendor, OPPO has once again pulled out a new smartphone from its arsenal. Dubbed as OPPO A7, the smartphone, for the time being, has launched only in China and Nepal. However, it is only a matter of few weeks when it will also be carried over to different markets, including India.
The smartphone is geared towards mid-level customer segment and to lure them it is laced with a dew-drop notch, AI-powered selfie camera, matte-like rear finish, a 4,230mAh battery, and HyperBoost technology meant for system enhancement during gaming sessions.

First up, in terms of specifications, the OPPO A7 sports a 6.2-inch HD+ IPS LCD display with a whopping 19:9 aspect ratio and 88.3 percent of screen-to-body ratio. In its guts, it draws power from an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC mated to 3GB/4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB default storage, expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The OPPO A7 runs Android 8.1 with ColorOS 5.2 laid on top.
In the camera domain, The OPPO A7 mounts a horizontally aligned dual-camera setup at the back. This camera setup comprises a 13MP primary sensor with f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture. Upfront, it attaches an AI-powered 16MP sensor for selfies. In China, the OPPO A7 in 4GB RAM and 64GB storage is priced at CNY 1,599 (Approx. INR 16,500) for which the sale will kick off from November 22. On the other hand, in Nepal, the sole 3GB RAM and 32GB storage model is available for a price tag of NPR 35,790 (Approx. INR 22,200). While in China the OPPO A7 is available in Fresh Powder, Lake Light Gold, and Glaze Blue color options in Nepal it is only available in Glaring Gold and Glaze Blue color variants.

Waterdrop notch in a budget phone
