Oppo 3000 launched in China, priced CNY 1,599 ($256)

Oppo is one among the best Chinese manufacturers which produces both great and reasonably priced devices compared to other manufacturers. The company has just released a new smartphone, Oppo 3000, and it is already up for sale in China at CNY 1,599 ($256).

Well, this phone doesn’t come with a swiveling camera like some of Oppo’s other devices does. Also, it can neither be called as the world’s thinnest smartphone. It is just a mid-range device with an ordinary camera which aims to bring a polished experience to those who aren’t all about the best.

Coming to the design, it can be seen that the corners are being curved a bit on each side and Oppo’s usual three capacitive buttons on the bottom are also present. The device comes with a 4.7 inch 720p touch screen, an 8MP Sony IMX179 rear camera sensor and a 5 MP wide-angled front camera. All these features contribute to the decent image quality which the phone brings.

The dual-SIM dual-standby Oppo 3000 runs Android 4.4 KitKat with ColourOS 2.0.2 UI on it. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz coupled with 1GB of Ram, and is backed by a 2000 mAh battery.

Oppo 3000 will be available in Black and White color variants, however, the smartphone’s availability outside China is not yet known.
