The Chinese smartphone vendor OnePlus will be providing a three month extended service warranty without any cost to the customers. This is for the customers who have to wait for over 15 days to get their device repaired. This is an attempt taken by the firm to lure the new customers.

Regarding this, Vikas Agarwal, the General Manager of OnePlus India stated that the extended warranty was one of the common demands from the users when their device stays at the service centers for over three days. It is the fastest growing product in the market with a great offline demand.

The warranty extension is applicable to the OnePlus One and the future offerings from the firm including the highly anticipated OnePlus Two. The price of the OnePlus One might be revised before the OnePlus Two makes its way into the Indian market.

He further stated that the firm is trying to reduce the price of the handset, but it is tough as the cost is already reasonable. It was possible in the U.K. as the OnePlus One was sold directly in the region, but in India the cost is relatively higher due to the imports. The firm will not phase out the OnePlus One when its successor hits the market, said the executive.
