The smartphone has been all the rage among folks who expect a flagship-like performance from a handset but at an affordable price. And rightly so, the OnePlus 5 delivers.
It packs top-notch hardware like any of the flagship phones out there (if not better). And with the LineageOS out now, you can take full advantage of the OnePlus 5’s hardware.

Do, however, note that this is not the official version of the LOS and is still in the testing phase. So, proceed at your own risk. You’ll get nightlies for the OnePlus 5 regularly, though.
