The Chinese firm OnePlus is slowly revealing the suspense surrounding the OnePlus 2 smartphone by confirming its aspects one by one. Last week, it was confirmed by the company that the device will arrive with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, and that it will not face overheating issues as the other devices that use the same chipset.
Later, it was also revealed that the OnePlus 2 will be priced relatively higher that its predecessor due to the high-end Snapdragon 810 chipset. The handset is claimed to be equipped with a 13 MP main snapper at its back.
Now, it looks like the OnePlus 2 will arrive with the USB Type-C connectivity. This has been confirmed by the manufacturer in a tweet that has been posted on Monday. Eventually, the OnePlus 2 with the USB Type-C connectivity will be the first flagship smartphone to arrive with such a feature.
The USB Type-C is reversible and it renders faster data speeds and much higher power output in comparison to the traditional USB adapters. Google’s Android M supports this connectivity and there is a speculation that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will arrive with the USB Type-C connectivity.
Lately, Sony swerved off the plan of implementing the USB Type-C connectivity in its upcoming devices for the time being. But, OnePlus is definitely leading the path in this segment.
