Samsung has begun releasing the One UI 7 update, based on Android 15, for several of its popular devices. The rollout covers the Galaxy Z Fold4, Z Flip4, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, and S23 FE. This update is arriving slightly ahead of schedule, as these models were originally expected to receive it in May 2025.

Currently, the update is available in South Korea for the Galaxy Z Fold4, Z Flip4, and S23 FE. For the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5, the rollout has started in India. The software version for the Fold4 and Flip4 ends in HYD9, while the S23 FE receives version S711NKSU5CYDA. The update package is substantial, with a download size of over 4GB, and it includes the April 2025 security patch for improved device protection.

One UI 7 brings a refreshed interface, including a vertical app drawer, redesigned icons, and larger home screen folders. The update also introduces smoother animations and a new Now Bar on the lock screen, which shows live updates without unlocking your device. Updated stock apps and a new camera interface aim to make one-handed use easier, especially on foldable devices.

Samsung did not include these devices in the One UI 7 beta program, and official changelogs are not yet available. As a result, some features present on newer models may not be included in this update for the Fold4 and Flip4. However, users can expect a more modern and responsive experience overall.

The rollout is happening in phases, so it may take several days or weeks before it reaches all eligible devices worldwide. To check for the update, go to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install. It is recommended to back up your device before installing, as the update is large and may take some time to complete.

With this release, Samsung appears to be accelerating its software update schedule. A broader rollout to more countries is expected soon, allowing more users to benefit from the latest features and security improvements.
