Oppo knows how to design phones (just look at R5) and it has shown its grit once again with a mid-range device this time, Oppo R1C. If you are in the market for a stunner handset with very-good-but-not-the-best specs, look no further than the Oppo R1C, which the company just made official, and is releasing on January 20 in China, with more countries, including India, to be followed soon.

Talking about Oppo R1C SPECS, well, a 64-bit 1.5GHz Snapdragon 615 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM run the show here, in a body that’s just 6.85mm thick and also houses a 5″ HD display — that’s 293 PPI, good enough to not make you cry over lack of Full HD display.

Other Oppo R1C specs include 13MP rear camera that uses a SonyIMX214 sensor with aperture of f/2.0, a front facing camera of 5MP, 16 GB internal storage (up to 128 GB microSD card supported), 2420 mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat, aided by ColorOS custom skin of Oppo.

It’s easy to figure out what’s the most striking deal of Oppo R1C, just by its first look: it’s the sapphire glass panel. It’s different than your usual glass panel and has also helped Oppo achieve slimmer profile on R1C. The all-glass back looks very similar to that you find on Sony Z series phones, but the choice of blue color used here is really impressive.

Oppo R1C Price is set at 2,499 Yuans, which amounts to $400 approx.

That’s not bad for a looker Oppo R1C is, despite it missing a Full HD display panel. The processor and RAM are more than good for an average user, and even a power user would feel at home. Sure, it’s the best spec’ed phone you can pick up, but for the price of $400, it’s sure one of the best phone in its range that you could pick up — at least in China for now.
