T-Mobile has announced that starting October 3, the Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich update will start rolling out for the Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G. The update will carry the software version T769UVLH5.

Along with the usual Ice Cream Sandwich features – a new improved user interface, faster performance, advanced mobile data usage management, swipe-able notifications, and more, the update will also include a Mobile Hotspot Icon location fix and an email option fix according to the T-Mobile release notes.

You’ll be able to update over the air after getting an automatic notification or via Samsung’s PC Suite software Kies on the computer. If you don’t get the update notification, make sure to check for it manually via the Settings » About phone » Software update menu on the phone. Also be on the lookout for a manual update guide from us once the update starts rolling out.
