HTC will be officially putting out the Android 7.0 Nougat update to the HTC One A9. However, we aren’t sure if that will happen anytime soon. The Taiwanese manufacturer only recently pushed out the update to its current flagship model in the US, HTC 10.
If you wouldn’t like to wait for the official update to arrive on your One A9 and you’re comfortable with installing a custom ROM, you’d be happy to know that official builds of CM14.1 are now available for the HTC One A9 and you can install it right this instance.
CM14.1 is an Android 7.1 Nougat based AOSP ROM developed and maintained by CyanogenMod — the most popular custom ROM for Android devices.
This is an official release of CM14.1 for HTC One A9. However, this is a nightly release and doesn’t have all of the CyanogenMod specific functions like CM Theme Manager working yet. You might have to wait a bit more if these functions are important for you.
Check all details about the ROM below, along with downloads and installation instructions.
HTC One A9 CM14.1 Build Details
- Build status: Nightly
- Supported model: HTC One A9 GSM USA (hiaeul)
