Nvidia has just rolled out an update for the Shield Tablet and this new update is upgrading Nvidia Shield Tablet’s software to version 2.2. The new update adds more PC games to the list of streamed PC games, for free. Nvidia has been adding new games to the platform every Tuesday. All you need to have is your Nvidia Shield Tablet and a good network connection. So now you can have fun with the popular titles such as Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7, PixelJunk Shooter and Grid 2.
But that’s not the only announcement made via this update. Wi-Fi standby battery life of the device has also been improved.
Furthermore, improved battery charging performance and compatibility have been added which makes Nviida Shield users to expect broader support for high performance chargers. The Shield Tablet is compatible with Anker’s 40W five port charger which charges the tablet at 2A. Overall experience enhancements have also been listed in the Changelog which includes additional UI responsiveness, memory optimizations and Graphics corruption resolution.
Finally, support for Shield Hub 4.1 is also mentioned which includes GameStream multi-controller support.
The new update 2.2 is readily available to all Shield users, so head over into the settings and give it a try.
