Google is giving out more information lately than it should, some of it not even supposed to be known yet. After a Google ad gave away the tentative release date of the Sony Xperia ion, another Google ad has let slip some information that might delight a lot of US-based smartphone customers looking to buy the upcoming Galaxy S3.
An Android Central reader came across an ad (see image above) that mentioned that the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be coming to (at least) the Rogers network with the “New Exynos Processor” aka the Exynos 4 Quad quad-core processor and 4G LTE support as well. All the information and rumors till now have pointed that the Galaxy S3 will be coming to the US with a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor for better LTE support, disappointing a lot of fans that they won’t be able to get their hands on the international quad-core variant. However, if what the ad says turns out to be true, those disappointed fans may have something to rejoice about.
Of course, a Google ad is hardly the most conclusive piece of evidence and can be just a behind-the-scenes marketing gimmick by the carrier/manufacturer, but hey, wishful thinking never cost a penny, did it? So for the sake of the people in the US, let’s pray this turns out to be true.
