Nokia released the highly anticipated N1 Android tablet in January this year, but the device was meant only for the Chinese market. Following the success of the device in China, Nokia seems to be in plans to release the device in the global markets.
The firm has launched the N1 slate in Taiwan at an event with a lot of energetic music and dance performances. The customers in Taiwan can purchase the Nokia N1 from May for a pricing that is equivalent to $268. As of now, it is not clear on when the slate will be released in the other countries, but it should happen in the coming months. But, there are reports that the slate will not make its way into the U.S. market.
To refresh on specifications, the Nokia N1 boasts of a 7.9 inch display with a resolution of 1536×2048 pixels. The device makes use of a 64 bit quad core Intel Atom Z3580 processor, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of non-expandable native storage space. The device comes with an 8 MP main snapper, a 5 MP front facer and a 5,300 mAh battery.
