HMD Global recently added another Nokia device to its arsenal. The Nokia 7, announced yesterday, is a mid-range smartphone that is exclusive to China. We’ve been hearing about this phone for some time now, and it is finally here.
Nokia has given this device a premium look and feel with glass and aluminium housing. The phone looks very much Nokia, which is a good thing. It comes with a 5.2-inch 1080p LCD display and a rear mounted fingerprint scanner/Home button. There’s also a 3.5mm headphone jack, which is good!
There’s a 5 MP selfie camera at the front with a wide-angle lens, and a 16 MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture on the back. The phone also includes the Bothie feature, which allows you to take photos using both the front and rear camera simultaneously.
Inside, there’s a Snapdragon 630 processor and 4 or 6GB of RAM options. Nokia has made 64GB as the standard storage option, but included a microSD slot just in case. As for battery, a 3000mAh cell is available to keep the phone running all day. It will come with Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box and will be upgradable to Android 8.0 Oreo soon.
