The Full HD+ 5.84″ PureDisplay screen boasts of a 19:9 screen ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass for protection. Additionally, the phone is capable of converting SDR quality videos to HDR in real time. As for clicking pictures, it comes with the dual rear camera (12MP +5MP) that supports bokeh mode and a front-facing 8MP camera.
Specs-wise, the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 with the option to choose between 3/4GB RAM and 32/64GB of inbuilt storage. Memory can be expanded up to 400GB through the native microSD slot. The phone runs on Android Oreo 8.1 out of the box but Nokia has promised that the update to Android Pie will be made available in the next month itself.
Speaking of which, it seems the device will get an update to Pie on boot, much like what happened with the Nokia 6.1 that came with Nougat preinstalled. This is according to Nokia 7.1 benchmarks discovered on Geekbench, where Android Pie is the OS on board.
It is worth mentioning that this phone is in Google’s Android One program, meaning it will continue to receive regular OS updates for the next two years.
