Nokia 7.1 may cost €399 for the 4/64GB variant, colors include blue and steel

It is in the public domain that HMD Global has plans to launch at least one smartphone in the near future. Most, if not all, rumors suggest the device in question is the Nokia 7.1 Plus, otherwise known as Nokia X7 in China. However, the latest developments do suggest that there’s a standard Nokia 7.1 variant too.

According to tipster Roland Quandt through his Twitter account, the Nokia 7.1 will be sold in Europe priced at about €399, the same amount that the Nokia 7 Plus was sold in the region following its launch. Apparently, this amount will get you a blue or steel variant of the phone with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, which implies that there’s perhaps a higher-end variant of the same phone with superior specs, say, 6GB RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. In all likelihood, this second variant could be the much-hyped Nokia 7.1 Plus, but this is just a hunch.

Previous rumors have suggested that the Nokia 7.1 Plus will ship with a 6.1-inch notched display screen with a full HD+ resolution and under the hood, a Snapdragon 710 chipset will run the show alongside two memory options of 4/64GB and 6/128GB. A dual camera on the back will take care of your photography needs and software-wise, the device will still run Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, which makes more sense now that the Nokia 7 Plus has yet to begin receiving the official update to the stable version of Android 9 Pie.
