Google took us all by surprise this morning with an early release of Android N developer preview for all recent Nexus devices, except for the most loved one — Nexus 5.

If you’re a dev and still rocking a Nexus 5, we’re sorry to tell you that Google will no longer give you early access developer preview builds on your N5.
However, since the update is available for other Nexuses, it wouldn’t be long before someone knowledgeable over at xda (or elsewhere) ports the Android N preview build to Nexus 5 as a custom ROM.
We’ll be keeping a close watch on xda forums and other Android communities for any updates on a Nexus 5 Android N ROM being developed or released. We’ll let you once it’s available. Stay tuned..
