And the wait has almost ended. Tomorrow can’t come soon enough for those who are waiting by their computer screens, to grab that Nexus 4, or Nexus 10 as soon as the Play Store opens up for orders.
However, while Google has confirmed that the nexus 4 and Nexus 10 will be available for purchase from November 13th on the Play Store, it didn’t exactly say when exactly on the 13th. Which means technically, it could be anytime after the clock strikes midnight. Sure, there would be a lot of folks across the world (with access to the devices section of Play Store, that is) who don’t mind burning some midnight oil, in return for the gratification of knowing that they’ve placed their orders. Not to mention the fear that it might suddenly go out of stock (just kidding).
Well, there is some information that has cropped up on the timings, for Germany at least. Steven Keuchel, a German user just posted on his Google Plus stream that both the Nexus 4 and the Nexus 10, as well as the new Nexus 7 32GB will be available on the German chapter of the Play Store sometime between afternoon and late evening tomorrow. Hope Google has beefed up the Play Store servers for the onslaught that is about to unleash tomorrow.
Personally, and logically, I would have thought that Google would open up these devices for purchase early in the morning, so that it allows for processing time and transfer to shipping through the day. There is no official word yet from Google on this, but I guess we’ll just have to manage to get through the night to find out.
And for those who came in late, Android 4.2 – the latest flavor of Jelly Bean is also landing tomorrow for the Nexus 7. So if you already have one, and you’ve already Custom ROM-med it like me, you may want to restore your Nexus 7 back to stock and get ready for that update.
