Almost all the Android device manufacturers have come up with their flagship smartphones for this year. Even LG that is yet to unveil its main offering has announced that the LG G4 will be launched on April 28. Now, it is only the Sony Xperia Z4 that is eagerly anticipated by the Android fans.
Now, the Sony Xperia Z4 has made an appearance via a series of leaked concepts. These images have also revealed what the firm’s mobile division is planning for its upcoming flagship smartphone.
Well, the design philosophy seems to be similar to that of the previous Xperia lineup of smartphones that have been unveiled by the firm. Though it seems to be somewhat like a let down, it makes sense for the struggling Sony smartphone business.
Lately, a new Twitter based leaker @ViziLeaks claimed that the device was not the Xperia Z4 and that it is the Xperia Z3 Neo. The same source has now claimed that the Xperia Z4 is back on track and that it is slated for a September release. It is also alleged that the device will feature an all metal build and an enhanced power button with an inbuilt fingerprint scanning technology.
Digging in the documents that were leaked previously on Wikileaks, it has been revealed that a few images have a resemblance to the claims of the Twitter based leakster. To be specific, a redesigned look, home button, unibody metal build and 2.5D glass display panel.
The leaked PDF paves way to more questions as it claims that there are chances to see not one but many unfinished internal concept renders including the Xperia Z4. A smaller device with more rounded corners and a backside that is cushiony is also included in the list.
As per a leaked email, the release date is set as the second quarter of this year and this is the time when the Xperia tablet will hit the market. However, this document has been leaked in October last year and hence, there are possibilities for a lot of changes to have happened in Sony’s plan in the meantime.
All we know right now is that we will be seeing a redesigned Sony Xperia Z4 and this might arrive this summer during the Xperia Tablet launch timeframe.
