Apart from releasing December security updates for all the Verizon Pixel smartphones, the carrier is now seeding a minor update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3.
The update brings a couple of new features and a newer Android security patch. It’s not the latest, but this new update installs the October Android security patch on the Tab S3. Let’s talk about the new features that you get with this update.
Netflix users will be delighted to know that this update brings support for High Dynamic Range streaming. This will improve the quality of the video on the 1536 x 2048 resolution 9.7-inch display. The update also fixes an issue that was present in the fingerprint setup wizard.

The build number for the update is T827VVRU1AQJ3 and it is being seeded over-the-air. If you own a Verizon Galaxy Tab S3, you should receive the update within the next few days. It is very likely that this tablet will receive the Android 8.0 Oreo update as well, but we’re not sure when.
