A new update is rolling out to Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 in India. No, the update doesn’t have Android Oreo, but it installs a new software version MIUI V9.2.13.0.

This is a stable version of the MIUI 9 skin that runs on top of Android Nougat and as you’d expect from an update that doesn’t bring a major OS upgrade, Redmi Note 5 users will receive optimizations that include better system stability and performance.

The new MIUI V9.2.13 is rolling out over the air and as such, it will take a few days before all Redmi Note 5 users in India get the OTA notification. Rather than wait, you can always try a manual update via the Settings menu, but make sure you have enough battery juice and a stable Wi-Fi connection – because the update is huge, weighing a massive 1.5GB.
