OnePlus has started rolling out OxygenOS 9.5.10 for OnePlus 7 Pro 5G, bringing a bunch of notable improvements and the August security patch.
The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G is the company’s most expensive and feature-rich smartphone yet. Despite the device’s outright flagship status, the Chinese OEM hasn’t been the most punctual with updates for the 7 Pro 5G. And just when users were starting to get a bit disgruntled, OnePlus has come up with a sizeable update, aiming to improve some key areas of the device.
The OTA improves GPS accuracy, adds Face Unlock assistive lighting, improves camera stability, optimizes the speed of network connections, brings August 2019 security patch, adds sound enhancement for OnePlus Wireless Bullets 2, and fixes known bugs.
The update weighs in at 2052MB.
As it’s an incremental update, it might take a while for your OnePlus 7 Pro 5G to get it. To check for the update manually, go to Settings > Phone info > Software update.
OnePlus 7 Pro 5G will be one of the first OnePlus devices to get updated to Android 10. As OnePlus guarantees at least three major Android OS updates, 7 Pro 5G is almost guaranteed to get Android 11 and Android 12 as well.
