Sony is all set to announce the successors to the Xperia XA series and we’ve already seen some leaked designs of the phones. Now though, we’ve got official shots of the upcoming Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra, and the Xperia L2.
The phones don’t look that different from the previous iteration, but there are some changes, both externally and internally. Most of the specs of these devices have already appeared on the interwebs. The biggest change between these and the older models is the use of the Snapdragon 630 chipset instead of a MediaTek equivalent.

Pictured at the top is the Xperia XA 2, which will come with a 5.2-inch full HD display and pictured below, is the Xperia XA 2 Ultra that has a 6-inch full HD display.
The XA 2 Ultra will also have two front-facing 15MP cameras, to make the selfie lovers happy. The front cameras can also shoot in 4K. Apart from that, the rear cameras on both the XA 2 variants will remain the same, a 21MP unit that can shoot in 4K. The front camera on the XA 2 is slated to be a 7MP unit.
Finally, the Xperia L2 (above), which is a budget smartphone, will get a 5.2-inch 720p display and lower resolution cameras. Not a lot of information is known about the L2 at this moment. However, it has been reported that Sony plans to announce these phones at CES later this month. If the CES launch doesn’t happen, then the announcement could be pushed to MWC in February. Either way, we won’t have to wait long.
