Lenovo had quite a number of devices to show us at the MWC. The company unveiled a pocket projector, smartphones and tablets. One among them was the Lenovo A7000. Also, the China based company has continued its partnership with Dolby for its audio in the A7000. In the past years, we have seen that Dolby has been present in about all of Lenovo’s smartphones and tablets. And it is now using the new Dolby Atmos technology. Lenovo says that with this, the sound of people, places and music will become more vivid.
The device features a 5.5 inch 720p IPS display, packs 2GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage which is expandable via microSD card. The phone is powered by MediaTek’s MT6752M octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz and a 16 core Mali-t760 GPU for graphics. The back of the smartphone is decked with an 8MP camera and a 5MP shooter is present at the front. Also, the Lenovo A7000 is powered by a 2,900mAh battery and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop, offering 4G LTE connectivity option. The dual SIM phone measures 152.6 x 76.2 x 7.9mm, weighing 140 grams.
The device is priced at $169 and will come in Onyx Black and Pearl White colors. It is expected to be available sometime in this month. And, it is worth noting that the phone is made up of polycarbonate. So, on the whole, the Lenovo A7000 is a pretty decent mid range device and is definitely worth the money.
