Obviously, every new phone from Motorola will be drawn into comparison with company’s recently launched just 7.1mm thin Droid Razr, especially in the thickness department. And rightly so, because after achieving such thinness in its phones, hopes will be high for more slim phones and tablets — even if not that slim — whether high end or good-on-budget phone like the latest announced Motorola XT615, which btw, is pretty slim to at 9.8mm, given that it’s a budget phone.

Specs

Introduced today in Taiwan, Motorola XT615 packs in a meager 800MHz processor from Qualcomm, Android 2.3 (with Motoblur custom UI, of course), 8MP and VGA cams at back and front, WiFi and HSPA connectivity for 3G speeds up to 7.2mbps. It’s a GSM quad-band phone, btw!

Price

Motorola XT615 is priced pretty nicely at NTD$10,900 (that is, $360), which isn’t a bad deal. Though, if you heard Asus’ CEO say quad-core tablets will be available for $300 or so pretty soon (in mid-2012), we know you’ll see even Motorola XT615 as one of the most expensive phone — duh!

Release Date

It’s been already released in Taiwan and it seems Motorola got no plans to launch XT615 elsewhere.
