If there’s one spectrum of the market that is constantly ignored by Android manufacturers, it’s one which includes people who want a high-end device but with a smaller screen that they can use more comfortably with one hand. Devices like the iPhone or HTC Windows Phone 8X are great examples of small screens yet top of the line specs, but when it comes to Android, manufacturers have failed to cater to this market.

Don’t worry though, as Motorola has decided to come to the rescue and is now working on Android phones which are just the right size and can be easily operated with one hand, while also running on stock Android without any bloatware. “There are some people that like a big display, but there’s also a lot of people that want something that’s just about right. I think ‘just right’ is important, and we’re designing so we don’t disappoint those people,” said Jim Wicks, Motorola’s chief of design, so apparently the company is pretty serious about this.

Wicks added that “it will be the unadulterated version of Android, and I feel really good about our embracing Android and being the best Android experience,” which means users will experience a smooth and fast Android experience not bogged down by bloatware, though carriers may still be free to add some of their custom apps on top. In theory, this will mean much faster updates to new versions of Android, something which Motorola has been already focused on since their acquisition by Google last year, and also one of the most stable Android experience out there akin to the Nexus line.

Another thing Wicks was vocal about was that Motorola is looking to “getting away from the spec wars that are just about specs and not about consumers,” which is yet another good direction that the company is heading in, boding well for consumers looking for a great user experience while not having to go through the troubles of handling a big screen device.

This is seriously great news, as while stock Android was possible to get by choosing Google’s Nexus devices, devices with a sensible screen size and high-end specs are basically non-existent in the Android market, something which Motorola will address. Who knows, this might just be what they need to improve their financial state, and hopefully it will also tempt other manufacturers to follow the “just right” device size trend.

So, would you guys be interested in these new “just right” Motorola smartphones?
