The company had only recently started seeding the Nougat update for Moto X Style handsets in Brazil. And now, Motorola Moto X Style users in India have started receiving the long-overdue Android Nougat update.
Needless to say, you get all the Nougat goodies with the update which include: improved Doze mode, revamped notification shade, and Quick Settings menu. And yeah, the much-hyped split-screen mode.
In addition to the said features, there should be a plethora of optimizations and system improvements which will enhance the overall experience.

The update should also bring along with it the latest security patch to the Moto X Style. There’s no mention of it, though.
As usual, the update is currently being rolled out to the users in a phased manner and all of you may not receive the update at the same time.
You can always check for it, in case you are curious by heading to Settings > About device > System updates.

I am in New York and haven’t got that update yet.My Moto X Pure does get sluggish here and there but overall it’s fine for me.I don’t even need it but if it really improves the device it would be nice!
Friend at work is in the same boat. They’ve not seen it yet in Texas. They’re really looking forward to it, but are getting frustrated that it’s not here yet, especially after they showed me an article stating it already fully rolled out in the U.S.
There has been a lot of incorrect reporting . Motorola posted the release notes on the Nougat update and what changes and features it would have .A lot of websites then started posting articles saying that the update is rolling out without even though it wasn’t
Still no update for Nougat or Oreo.Its Sept and I am still waiting for my Moto X Pure
Looks like even the fairly newish Moto G4 won’t even get 8.0. so much for suggesting that to my friend.

None if the Moto X Pure owners in the US have received the Nougat update. There have been some reports of users participating in the soak test for Nougat . There have been reports of Moto X Style owners receiving the update in Brazil and India within the past week or two.
This is how it spreads. I’m from India and even I say there have been reports of owners receiving updates in the U.S. But nobody knows the actual source. I’m ranting here because this is where I found news about Indian X style Nougat update first.
