Motorola Marshmallow update plan released, Moto E will be missed

Woohoo! We’re finally at the point when Android manufacturers announce their update plans for the freshest Android release, which for 2015 is — Marshmallow 6.0.

Motorola will be rolling out Marshmallow update to almost all Moto devices launched in 2014 and 2015. However, the low-end budget phone Moto E 2nd Gen. (2015) seems to be missing from the supported devices list, will it not get the Android Marshmallow? What an unfortunate news for Moto E users.

Below is the full list of Motorola devices getting Android 6.0 Marshmallow update officially:

• 2015 Moto X Pure Edition (3rd gen)
• 2015 Moto X Style (3rd gen)
• 2015 Moto X Play
• 2015 Moto G (3rd gen)
• 2014 Moto X Pure Edition in the US (2nd gen)
• 2014 Moto X in Latin America, Europe and Asia² (2nd gen)
• 2014 Moto G and Moto G with 4G LTE² (2nd gen)
• DROID Turbo
• 2014 Moto MAXX
• 2014 Moto Turbo
• Nexus 6

As for the Marshmallow update release date, Motorola hasn’t given a word on that yet. We’ll be sure to update you on the release dates as and when we come to know of them. Stay tuned..
