Motorola recently launched the Moto Z Play devices that have all the fun of modular accessories but only a slightly downgraded hardware to touch down on price tag so that the company can attract more buyers.
As of now, the Moto Z Play is available for pre-order but will be shipping very soon. And since Motorola devices are bootloader unlock-able, it goes without doubt that the phone will have an official or unofficial build of TWRP recovery available for flashing as soon as the device starts shipping.
Once a functional TWRP recovery is available, you’ll be able to root Moto Z Play either via SuperSU or Magisk systemless interface.
We’ll be keeping an eye over at XDA and other Android community forums for any updates on availability of TWRP recovery or root methods for Moto Z Play. Stay tuned..
Happy Androiding!
