Moto Z Play receives another Android 7.1.1 update under the soak test

Motorola is rolling out a new software update to the folks who had enrolled for the Android 7.1.1 earlier.

The new update is around 181MB in size and is believed to bring stability improvements to the Moto Z Play handsets which are currently on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.

This also means that the company will make the update official very soon across different regions.

Motorola has launched the successor of the Moto Z Play recently in India called the Moto Z2 Play. The company is also expected to launch a couple of other handsets namely: the Moto X4 and Moto Z2 shortly.

Initially, the Moto X4 was tipped to be launched on June 30. However, a recent leak suggests that the smartphone won’t be launched on the said date due to the shortage in Snapdragon 660 SoC supply.

Motorola is expected to launch the recently unveiled Moto E4 Plus in the US on June 30.
