Motorola’s upper-midrange smartphone, the Moto X4 has been doing the rumor rounds for quite some time now. It was also touted to be released on July 25th which clearly didn’t happen. It has hit the news headlines once again by landing at benchmarking site Geekbench.

Bearing model number XT1789, the Motorola device is seen packing underneath a Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor clocked at 2.21GHz. Although there’s nothing to confirm that the listed XT1789 Motorola model on Geekbench is indeed Moto X4, the SD 660 processor on board falls in line with past reports suggesting that the fourth gen Moto X will be powered by this latest mid-range SoC.

The Geekbench listing throws light on few more Moto X4 features. It reveals that the device will run Android 7.1.1 OS and pack in 3GB RAM.

Interestingly, the same XT1789 model appeared on GFXBench earlier with Snapdragon 630 processor. This stirs confusion regarding the Moto X4 chipset.

The Moto X4 is expected to feature a metal and glass sandwiched body and a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a 3D glass on top instead of the regular 2.5 curved glass. The phone is said to feature 3800mAh battery with Turbo charging and dual rear cameras with dual LED flash of 12MP+5MP resolution and a 16MP selfie snapper.

Other rumored features include IP68-certified water and dust resistance, front mounted fingerprint scanner. Interestingly, the Moto X4 should come with AI integration.
