Motorola could launch the Moto G5 Plus on February 26 at MWC

A new Moto device may be in the works as Mobile World Congress in Barcelona draws closer. This could be hinted from the fact that Lenovo had sent invites for the event which is set to take place on February 26th.

The alleged smartphone could be the mid range Moto G5 Plus. The G series gained a lot of hype back in 2013 with the first gen and has performed well in budget markets ever since. We may even see the second generation of Moto Mods with the company setting a goal of releasing at least 12 Mods for 2017.

It’s been more than two years now after Motorola was acquired by Lenovo. Lately, Motorola devices have been losing their stock Android fame with Lenovo starting to ship the Moto M with Vibe UI in China. MWC should shed some light on whether Motorola will maintain its legacy or go on a new path.
