Moto G5 Plus

What makes Android so interesting is the amount of tinkering the software allows you to do, including tweaks that bring the likes of MIUI to the likes of Lenovo P2 and even the Moto G5 Plus.

Yes, you read that right! You can now install Xiaomi’s custom MIUI ROM on your Motorola Moto G5 Plus handset and go about your day-to-day use without any major concerns. This is an undertaking that has been made possible thanks to XDA senior member jhenrique09, who was able to port the Xiaomi MIUI 9.6 to the Moto G5 Plus. The MIUI 9.6 ROM is based on Android 8.1 Oreo and according to the developer, it brings along support for Project Treble.

It’s worth noting that this is a stable ROM and even better is that it comes with GApps bundled, meaning you don’t have to flash the suite manually.
