Motorola has launched the 4G LTE variant of the second generation Moto E smartphone in India for a pricing of Rs 7,999. Like its 3G variant, this one will also be available exclusively via Flipkart, the online retail partner of Motorola.
The listing of Moto E (Gen 2) LTE on Flipkart shows that the estimated release date of the device in India is April 23 and the estimated delivery date is April 28. Notably, while launching the 3G variant of the device, Motorola announced that the LTE model will be launched in a couple of months.
To refresh on the specifications, the Moto E (Gen 2) runs on the Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update and it boasts of a 4.5 inch qHD display with a resolution of 960×540 pixels and 245 ppi pixel density. The screen is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and features anti-smudge coating as well. Under its hood, the device makes use of a 64 bit 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 200 SoC paired with Adreno 302 graphics unit and 1 GB of RAM.
The Moto E (Gen 2) LTE and its 3G variant are identical in terms of specifications and there is a 5 MP main snapper and a VGA front facer that was missing in its predecessor. The device packs in 8 GB of native storage space that can be expanded further by 32 GB using a micro SD card. The other goodies onboard the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with A-GPS, micro USB and a 2,390 mAh battery.
