MIUI 10 stable update released for Xiaomi Mi 8 and Mi MIX 2S global models

Avatar

Xiaomi recently started rolling out the stable MIUI 10 global update to a number of its devices, however, conspicuously missing on the list were the flagship Xiaomi Mi 8 and Mi MIX 2S, but not anymore.

The two devices are now receiving the stable MIUI 10 update that many were hoping would arrive backed by Android 9 Pie, but it seems the company isn’t done with testing the OS for the duo. The Mi MIX 2S got the beta update a while back and it’s only recently that Mi 8 users also joined the party.

The MIUI 10.0.2 update is available over the air, but we also have the recovery update files that can be used to carry out a local update for each device.

Given that both Xiaomi Mi 8 and Mi MIX 2S are testing Android 9 Pie, we expect their stable releases, which will be topped by MIUI 10, to begin rolling out by December 2018.
