The wait for the official Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 update is still on for owners of the Motorola Droid RAZR. While other manufacturers such as HTC, Sony, Samsung have updated quite a few of their devices to Android 4.0, Motorola is yet to update a single device of theirs.

But an Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0.4 update for the Droid RAZR has been ripped off the official Motorola servers, and has been made available for flashing manually, by XDA Recognized Contributor pedrotorresfilho, who has also provided a full step-by-step guide on how you can flash the update on your phone. Remember that once you manually update to Android 4.0.4, you cannot downgrade to Gingerbread, so you’ll have to make do with ICS even if you don’t like it.

It goes without saying that manually updating can be dangerous and can void the warranty on the phone, so make sure you go through all the instructions carefully before attempting anything. The instructions can be found on the official XDA page. Be careful, and bon voyage for your journey into the Ice Cream Sandwich world.
