Long-awaited The Elder Scrolls: Blade to release on Android and iOS

The Elder Scrolls

In case you didn’t know, Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls game is available on almost all devices in the marketplace. That is, except on smartphones. Bethesda has sought to correct the problem by announcing The Elder Scrolls: Blade for Android and iOS devices. They still haven’t delivered on the mobile front until now.

The release of the game has been beset by delays, which might imply a notably premature unveiling. Yesterday, the company made an official announcement via a tweet which revealed that The Elder Scrolls: Blades will be available in Early Access mode soon. How soon and what exactly does it mean is still the elephant in the room.

Though what is apparent is that Bethesda has decided to invite players in droves or waves in order to scale up more organically. If you are one of those looking forward to the game then you can get more information regarding joining the Early Access version here.  Existing players should keep an eye out in their email for an invite while new gamers should sign up for early access here.

The good news is that the game is available for both iOS and Android, though it might not run on just about any device. Existing players may know just how resource-intensive the game is, which is why the list of compatible devices is rather small right now. But of course, Bethesda’s goal is to have the game run on as many devices as possible.

Here is the list of supported phones and tablets:

  • iPhone 6s and newer
  • iPhone SE
  • iPad Pro
  • iPad Mini 4 and 5
  • iPad Air 2 and 3
  • Galaxy S8 and newer

If you are one of those itching to give the game a go, keep in mind that this is an early access version so there might be content added after launch. One of these can be the Arena mode shown in the official announcement last year.
