We have some great news for device owners of Sony Xperia Z family. Well, the new leak from Sony India R&D team confirms that the company will be rolling out the much anticipated Android 5.0 Lollipop update to Xperia Z2, Z3, and Z3 compact units in the coming weeks.  This means Indian Xperia users will be getting their hands on the latest version of Android very soon. However, the update is not applicable to the E3, M2, M2 Aqua, C3, T3, or T3 Ultra.
The Sony R&D team claims that the update package weighs around 630.23 MB for Xperia Z3 and 517.86MB for Xperia Z2. The OTA update is currently being uploaded to Sony’s servers, so expect it to hit your Xperia Z devices anytime in the coming days.
Also, as the update is all set to launch in India, we can be assured that other regions will be getting it soon too.
