A budget range smartphone from LG, the X Power 2 has been released in Germany. The mid-ranger is being offered at €299, or $333, at German online retailer, Otto. The X Power 2 can also be bought through the 24 month installments plan at €14.45 per month.
The smartphone features a modest set of specifications, with nothing too extraordinary unsurprisingly. The front of the LG X Power 2 sports a 5.5-inch 720p display and the it is powered by the octa-core MediaTek MT6750 SoC and 2GB of RAM.
All of this may sound bare-bones for some, but the fact that this device ships with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box sort-of makes up for that. In addition to that, the presence of a large 4500mAh ensures that you can easily go through 2-3 days of usage without having to break a sweat. Even though you’ll be losing on the pixel density a bit, the HD display drains less power.
‘LG G6 Plus release date announced’
LG has gotten their game on after their success with the flagship G6. The company has now learned to play the right cards at the right moment. Given the release time frame of the X Power and LG’s reputation with updates, we’re really hoping to see this mid-ranger receive Android 8.0.0 in the coming year.
