LG has a press event scheduled for October 3, during which the Korean company is expected to unveil the V40 ThinQ flagship. The upcoming smartphone follows this summer’s V35 ThinQ and will be almost identical in term of internal specs. This means the V40 will have a Snapdragon 845, 128GB of storage and a 3,300 mAh battery.
One thing will be different, though. According to a leaked spec sheet, the LG V40 will get a version with 8GB of RAM, on top of the base one that will offer 6GB. This is an upgrade, given that the V35 topped out at 6GB.
But the more obvious differences between the V40 and V35 are on the outside. The phone will arrive sporting a larger 6.4-inch display and will feature a notch on top of the screen. Moreover, the back of the phone should host a triple-camera setup in the vein of phones like the Huawei P20 Pro. If rumors are correct we should see a 16mp+12mp+5mp arrangement. LG is also said to implement dual cameras on the front.
