LG has finally started rolling out the Android Pie update for the unlocked variant of the LG V35 ThinQ in the United States.

The highly-anticipated Pie update is available for the Google Fi, carrier unlocked, Amazon, and AIO Wireless version of the LG V35 ThinQ LMV350ULM.

LG has taken unusually long to roll out the Android 9 update to the US unlocked V35, almost a whole year after the OS’ initial release.

One of the leading telecom companies in the US, AT&T released the Pie update in June and even pushed out a security update in July.

Coming back to the unlocked update, the OTA carries software version V350ULM20D and weighs in at 3.5GB. The June security patch has also been included, while sidelight for notifications and fingerprint gestures have also been bundled in.

As it’s an incremental update, you could try initiating it manually if your device doesn’t get the automatic update notification. To check for the update, go to Settings > System updates panel. You could also try to check for the update through LG Bridge on your PC.
