LG announced some really good smartphones in the past couple of years, unfortunately, with the lack of advertisements in most regions buyers are clueless as to what devices LG has on offer. The LG G7 ThinQ was one of the most underrated smartphones of 2018.
The device came with Android 8.0 Oreo aboard alongside LG’s custom skin over Android. LG G7 ThinQ users are in for a surprise since the company has now released its plans for the first quarter of 2019 in which LG has claimed the G7 ThinQ would be receiving the Android Pie update within the first quarter.

These plans were published on the company’s Korean website alongside plans for other LG devices as well which would be reflected within the first quarter. The company claims that the update schedule is only for devices in Korea which means LG G7 ThinQ users in Korea would be receiving the update in the next few weeks; however, users in other regions should also be receiving the update a short while after the official release in Korea.
Android 9 Pie brings along a host of new features and improvements over the Oreo version and we might also see a few UI changes in LG’s skin which is a much-needed overhaul to the existing skin.
