At the LG Optimus Vu launch event here in India, Amit Gujral, Mobile Product Planning head at LG, in an interview with IBNLive said, “Google will unveil the LG Nexus on October 29 and the phone will be available in the Indian markets by the end of November.”

Also what goes without saying here’s that Amit Gujral has also confirmed the launch of a Nexus phone from LG on the October 29 Android event being held by Google, however he’s only called it ‘LG Nexus’, not LG Nexus 4, so maybe the name is going to be different. I know we’ve had enough of guessing on the name of LG’s Nexus phone and we did settle at last with ‘Nexus 4’, but this little statement has put a little doubt in my mind again. Phew!

Anyway, with Samsung not launching the Galaxy Nexus in India, ever, even after distributing the brochures and stuff to appease everyone (biggest teasers ever?), the quick launch of the LG Nexus 4 by LG should win it many Indian hearts!
