The LG G8 ThinQ was announced soon after the Galaxy S10. Even after all this time, the device is yet to hit the market whereas the S10 has already been released globally. Yesterday, LG announced that the LG G8 ThinQ will see a U.S. release on April 11th. LG has also confirmed the official price and announced the opening of pre-orders.
In a press release, LG confirmed the release date of its flagship G8 ThinQ. The device will be available in the US starting from the 11th of April. LG has also revealed the colors in which it will be released: Aurora Black, Platinum Grey, and Carmine Red. The device will be sold unlocked and will be compatible with all U.S. carriers, including Verizon and Sprint.
Regardless of where you buy the device, the LG G8 ThinQ will be available with the same specifications as announced. The G8 ThinQ has a Snapdragon 855 processor, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, “Crystal Sound” OLED display, Hand ID, and the 12MP/16MP rear camera array. These specifications ensure that this device can go toe-to-toe with other flagships of this season.
It is to LG’s credit that the device is notably cheaper than other flagships. LG has officially announced the starting price of the G8 ThinQ at $819. This is quite a significant difference when compared to its main rival, the Samsung Galaxy S10, which starts at $899 and the iPhone XS which starts at $999.
