According to a new report coming from China, the upcoming LG G6 flagship would include a new Quad DAC (digital-to-analog-convertor) and sound better than the LG V20.

The V20 was the first LG smartphone to feature a Quad DAC, and that enhanced the sound output of the device via the headphone jack. Now, LG wants to bring to same feature to the G series by introducing it with the G6.

As per the report, the new quad DAC on the G6 would provide finer controls for left and right earphone audio, along with better noise reduction and sound balance. This would give the user more control over the sound and provide a better listening solution.

Lee Sang-gyu, the head of LG Electronics Korea Mobile Group, stated;

We will deliver new value to consumers with the best smartphone sound we have not experienced before.

The new DAC apparently has very less information loss from the source audio and can reduce the distortion of the master volume by up to 0.0002 percent. All this would result in a much cleaner sound, and music that’s very close to the original audio. The DAC would also support 32-bit audio source.
