Besides pushing Android 8.0 Oreo update to Pixel handsets, Verizon is rolling out the latest security patch to three of its LG devices, the LG G5, LG V10 and LG Stylo 2. Of course, the update doesn’t bring the Oreo update for these three devices.

Since it is an OTA update, it would take some time to reach your device. In case you are too impatient to wait, you can check for the update manually by heading to Settings > About device > System updates.

The update arrives as version number VS98729A, VS99028A and VS83520c for LG G5, LG V10 and LG Stylo 2 respectively.

As is the case with any security patch, the update takes care of various security vulnerabilities and brings along fixes to existing bugs. You can also expect performance and stability improvements from the update.
