So far, it was not clear if the LG G4 smartphone will support the Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 technology. Even in the press releases of the handset, the South Korean firm did not mention anything about the Quick Charge 2.0 compatibility though the Snapdragon 808 chipset supports this rapid charging feature.

As the challenging flagship smartphones such as Samsung Galaxy S6, HTC One M9 and a few others come with this quick charging method, it is unacceptable that the LG flagship does not come with this feature. This Quick Charge 2.0 feature has the ability to change the way Android users look at the battery life of their device.

Now, it seems like LG has confirmed that the Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 feature will be supported by the LG G4 at the time of its retail launch. This means that even if the device does not have this support right now, it will be rolled out via an OTA update.

The chipmaker Qualcomm has also updated its Quick Charge 2.0 device page with the LG G4 included in it. The only thing that is left unknown is when the smartphone will receive the Quick Charge 2.0 compatibility.
