The Lenovo P70 smartphone is now available for pre-order in India for a price of Rs 15,999. The smartphone was launched initially in its homeland China in February. The Do Store listing of the P70 claims that the device will start shipping from April 14.
The highlight of the Lenovo P70 smartphone is its 4,000 mAh battery that is touted to provide a talk time of up 46 hours on 2G and 18 hours on 3G and a standby time of 696 hours on 3G. The device features Quick Charge support that helps in prolonging the battery life by 3 hours. Also, the device provides up to 4 hours of talk time on a 15 minute charge.
The Lenovo P70 is bestowed with a 5 inch display with a HD screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels and it is stuffed with a 1.7 GHz octa core MediaTek MT6752 processor paired with 2 GB of RAM. The handset bundles 16 GB of native storage space that can be expanded further with the help of a micro SD card.
For imaging, the Lenovo smartphone makes use of a 13 MP main snapper with auto focus and LED flash at its back and a front facing 5 MP selfie snapper for video conferencing. The connectivity aspects onboard the P70 include 4G LTE, 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and dual SIM functionality.
The Lenovo P70 is preinstalled with Android 4.4 KitKat and the firm has assured to roll out the Lollipop update to the device sometime in this quarter.
