Fans of slimmest handsets in India will be glad to hear that just-4.75mm thick Vivo X5Max has been launched in the country for the price of INR 29,990. Yes, it’s world’s slimmest, slimmest phone! And even though X5Max doesn’t have a very solid processor at heart (say, a Snapdragon 80x), the 64-bit Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor is no slouch and coupled with 2GB RAM, the X5Max would just fly.

Sure, you can grab a Galaxy S5 for this price, or LG G3 if you can stretch your budget a bit, but what you are getting here in terms of elegance in design and feel, is foreign to those two flagships of 2014, especially Galaxy S5. Vivo X5Max is not about specs, you see, it’s about stunning looks where it’s quite unmatched. HTC One M8, is of course an exception, and is costlier too. Use of stainless steel at the back with anti-fingerprint coating on Vivo X5max very much seals the deal, if plastic back doesn’t quite stick the landing for you, and device’s charm matters more to you that its specs.

Continuing with Vivo X5Max specs, you get 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display (no less, you see!) and 16GB internal storage along with impressive camera units: 13MP at the back with aperture of f/2.0, and 5MP one on the front. The camera packs some usual features like Double Exposure, Panorama mode, etc while display is one the best, with 410 PPI.

The Vivo X5Max’s body weighs 146 grams and also packs in 2000mAh Li-Po battery that charges really quickly than your usual older Li-ion battery. Although, there is no mention of VOOC charger or quick charging, which has surprised us because marketing teams are pretty good at advertising this point home — at worst, it’s possible Vivo X5Max doesn’t support quick charging but we don’t think is the case.

Lastly, even though Lollipop update is more than 2 months old now, the Vivo X5Max runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, with FunTouch OS 2.0 atop it. X5Max should get Lollipop update but there is no official word available as of now.

If you want your next Android device to be a looker, give Vivo X5Max a serious thought. At pricing of INR 29,990, it’s really quite good choice, unless you have the budget that stretches to HTC One M8.

So, are you planning to buy a Vivo X5Max?
