Kyocera DuraForce PRO receives Security patch from Verizon

Kyocera isn’t known for its premium devices or top looks, instead the company focuses on making military grade hardware for its devices so that they work in all kinds of difficult conditions. These are some of the toughest smartphones in the market which have sacrificed form over function to quite a high degree.

With that said, the Kyocera DuraForce PRO with Sapphire Shield is in line for a software update from US based carrier Verizon.

The software version 3.112VZ brings the latest Android security patch to the device. Issues fixed in this build include a calling bug, the weather widget and other minor bugs in the messaging app. The update also brings improvements in to SD card detection and compatibility and notification functions.
